The staff of The Learning Lamp is very supportive and understanding when it comes to children with disabilities. I am grateful for that. I would recommend to any parent who has a child with a learning disability to seriously consider the services offered by The Learning Lamp. You may be surprised at how they can help you.

About Us
It started a few years ago as a simple idea – to provide children in Johnstown, Pennsylvania with access to high quality academic support without the high price tag.
Since then, The Learning Lamp has grown to offer not only tutoring, but a range of programs that give students and schools across western Pennsylvania new options for improving academic achievement.
The need was identified by Lorraine Nulton, D.Ed., founder and president of the nonprofit agency that served more than 6,000 children from 50 school districts across 20 counties last year.
While working in public schools, Dr. Nulton, an educational psychologist, discovered that many of the children who needed academic support the most came from homes where parents didn’t have the skills to provide it. They also couldn’t afford to pay a private tutor. A generous donation from the Nulton family funded The Learning Lamp’s birth.
Today, The Learning Lamp is a respected organization that works together with families and schools to offer quality tutoring and other educational services when and where they are needed most.
