We would like to thank you so much for the preschool scholarship awarded to our son Kalen. He loves his classes and his teachers so much that he gets so excited to go to school every day. It is so wonderful to see the kindness and generosity of the people of Johnstown. Thanks to the local businesses, our kids have the opportunity to receive an exceptional education. The Learning Lamp is looking to hire the best candidate available for our job openings. We are currently looking for:
Child Care Staff- Johnstown - Group and assistant group supervisors for growing child care programs. Must LOVE working with young children. Must have two years experience and a current health exam and TB test. Associates or bachelors level preferred. Currently hiring for our Richland, Westmont and Memorial Medical Center locations.
After School Program Staff- Part-time staff for before and after school programs in Carrolltown, Ebensburg, Johnstown, Jennerstown and Somerset. Must LOVE working with school-age children. Flexible hours. Must have two years experience, a current health exam, TB test and clearances.
Substitute Alternative Education Teachers, Counselors and Aides- Part-day and full-day school year positions for teachers, counselors and teacher aides for daytime and evening programs in Ebensburg and Johnstown. Small group setting serving middle and high school students. Candidates must be compassionate and able to relate to at-risk students. Prefer secondary or special education certification for teacher positions. Must have current health exam and TB test.
Part-time Special Education Teacher- Part-time teacher to assist with making accommodations and ensuring IEPs are being followed in adapted learning and alternative education classrooms in Ebensburg and Johnstown areas. Small group setting. Flexible schedule. Must have PA special education certification.
Teacher Aides/Personal Care Aides for Cambria and Somerset Counties- Several part-time positions available in the Johnstown area. Positions follow the school calendar.
Substitute Teachers for Preschool, Elementary, Middle and High School Assignments-Substitute teachers needed for all grades in the Johnstown area. Also looking for substitute preschool teachers for Somerset and Hyndman.
Tutors- Make your own hours and earn a great hourly rate. We’re looking for tutors in all subject areas including elementary education, middle school core subjects and secondary math, science, English and Spanish.
Online Teachers- Make your own hours and earn extra money teaching online courses for students across Pennsylvania. Previous online course experience a plus. All middle school and secondary subjects needed.
