I just wanted to pass along how happy my husband and I are with the Memorial Medical Center child care facility. Being a first time parent, it’s hard to leave your child in the care of strangers. But the infant staff was amazing with him! Miss Danielle, Miss Sandy, Miss Kristin and Miss Jen are always helpful and adapt his schedule as needed. They treated him as if he was their own, and that meant the world to us.

The Learning Lamp is committed to providing students with the support to they need to succeed in school. As part of that commitment, we offer educationally-focused after school programs in communities across Cambria and Somerset Counties.
A key difference in The Learning Lamp’s programs is a strong belief that students who complete homework regularly are more successful in school. That’s why each of our after school locations offers a full hour of homework help every day. The sessions are supervised by certified teachers and structured in a small group setting.
The Learning Lamp’s after school programs are tailored to the specific needs of the communities they serve. With the exception of the free drop-in sites for students in grades 1 through 8 in Moxham and Prospect, all programs are licensed through the Department of Public Welfare. Families eligible for child care subsidy can receive tuition assistance to attend.
An additional location at Westmont Hilltop Middle School, offers free homework help for students in grades 5 to 8. This program operates Monday through Thursday during the school year.
