Even as schools are closed for the summer, The Learning Lamp is preparing for the 2015-16 school year! We’re hiring now to fill positions in schools and child care centers across Cambria, Somerset and Bedford counties. Candidates can take part in on-site job interviews during series of job fairs in June, July and August.
Available jobs include: substitute teachers for many area school districts, substitute LPNs, alternative education, special education and Title 1 teachers, ESL certified teachers, teacher aides and personal care aides, substitute custodians, supervisors for before/after school and child care programs, outreach staff, tutors and other specialty positions in schools.
The job fairs will take place:
Wednesday, June 24 – 1 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, July 22 – 1 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, August 19 – 1 to 6 p.m.
All three job fairs will be held at The Learning Lamp’s main office at 2025 Bedford Street in Johnstown. Wednesday, July 15 – Somerset Area Junior High School, Cafeteria, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, July 21 – Tussey Mountain School District, Jr/Sr Library, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Learning Lamp is also looking to recruit substitute teachers to work with Propel Charter Schools for the 2015-16 school year. Job fairs for those sites include:

Thursday, July 9 – Propel Braddock Hills High School, 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 23 – Propel McKeesport, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, August 6 – Propel Hazelwood, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
