Johnstown, PA (Nov. 2, 2015) – According to a October report from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Center for Workforce Information & Analysis, the unemployment rate in Cambria County is 6.6 percent. That translates into 4,100 people out of work and looking for jobs. In 2015, Education, Training & Library occupations employed the most people countywide, second only to Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations.

“The field of education is broader than the average person may think. Not all educationally focused jobs occur in a typical classroom. At The Learning Lamp, we are currently seeking a FULL TIME Before and After School Program Director to oversee two of our programs at Central Cambria and Jackson Elementary School,” explained Kayla Cobaugh, Human Resources Manager at The Learning Lamp. “The perfect candidate would have an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or any other human service field. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate to gain experience and build a career.”

The Learning Lamp offers competitive pay rates, part-time and full-time options, health care and a retirement savings plan, paid time off, plus opportunities to further your career with tuition assistance and professional development. All positions require updated clearances.

For more information on job opportunities at The Learning Lamp, please call Kayla at 814.262.0732 extension 236 or email her at kcobaugh@thelearninglamp.org.
