Posted on June 18, 2020

Johnstown, PA (June 5, 2020) – It has been months since schools and many businesses closed their doors due to COVID-19. With Cambria and Somerset counties moving to the green phase, parents of younger children may once again need a plan to care for their children while they work. The Learning Lamp offers a great option — 11 weeks of exciting, engaging summer programs for preschoolers and school-age children.

The Learning Lamp’s preschool summer camps for ages 3, 4, and 5 are half-day sessions designed and taught by certified teachers in early childhood education. Parents will find age-appropriate themes like Messy Masterpieces, Jurassic Journey, Water World and Construction Junction. Camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon in Richland, Westmont, Jennerstown and Somerset. No matter where your child goes to preschool or kindergarten, The Learning Lamp’s preschool summer camps are a great way to keep them engaged in hands-on learning activities all summer long. Tuition is $60 per week, with extended child care available.

For students entering grades 1 to 5, school-age summer camps feature fun, educational, hands-on-learning with a twist. Camp themes include Under the Big Top, Color Blast, Camp Construction and Incredible Inventions. Camp meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Richland, Westmont, Ebensburg, Jennerstown, and Somerset. Choose from a 3, 4 or 5-day plan. Tuition varies depending on location, and extended-day child care is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. depending on location. Spots fill up quickly. Register today!
