Hiring Event Offers Job Seekers Meaningful Work and A Brighter Future

Johnstown, PA (Feb. 4, 2019) –Will 2019 be the year you begin a career you love? At The Learning Lamp, and Ignite Education Solutions, we offer full- and part-time jobs doing work you can feel good about. Flexible scheduling, meaningful work and opportunities for advancement are three big reasons to attend our upcoming hiring event on Wednesday, February 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our main office at 2025 Bedford Street in Johnstown. The event gives serious job seekers a chance to get hired on the spot, as well as explore a wide range of employment options in the field of education in Cambria and Somerset counties.

“We encourage job hunters to meet their potential supervisors, learn about available positions, career pathways, and be interviewed on the spot,” said Kayla Cobaugh, director of human resources at The Learning Lamp. “Working here gives you the chance to have a positive impact on children, and your own life too. We offer flexible scheduling, no weekend or holiday work, and the ability to learn, grow and advance with the organization. Applicants can work a set schedule or only on a casual, part-time basis.”

The Learning Lamp is a leading provider of early education, child care, and before and after school programs. Ignite Education Solutions is a division of The Learning Lamp that is dedicated to serving schools and helping children reach their full potential in the classroom. Both offer a number of positions for a variety of education levels and skill sets. Available jobs include: substitute teachers, before and after school staff, early learning staff, classroom and personal care aides, and tutors in all subject areas.

The Learning Lamp is a nonprofit organization with a mission to engage all children in the support they need to succeed. We deliver high quality programs that are affordable and accessible to families of all income levels. The Learning Lamp served 37,197 children and adults from 52 school districts and 71 non-public and private schools and other organizations in 19 Pennsylvania counties and communities in Maryland and West Virginia in 2017.

 Our programs include: one-to-one tutoring; before/after school programs; portable classrooms aimed at building math and science skills; alternative education programs for at-risk students; evidence-based prevention programs; online learning and credit recovery; SAT preparation; educationally-focused child care; literacy-based preschool programs; and grant writing and project consulting for schools.
