Job Carnival Scheduled to Highlight Careers in Education

Johnstown, PA (July 18, 2018) – Are you looking for the opportunity to gain experience and build a career in the field of education? To learn more, stop in at our Job Carnival on Thursday, July 26, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Career Link entrance at the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center at 445 Schoolhouse Road in Johnstown. The Job Carnival is designed to help job seekers discover potential careers and explore other employment options in the field of education across Cambria, Bedford and Somerset counties.

“We encourage job seekers who like working with kids to come and meet with their potential supervisors, learn about the positions available, and be interviewed on the spot,” said Kayla Cobaugh, director of human resources at The Learning Lamp. “The Job Carnival will also provide perspective employees the opportunity to tour our child care center that is located inside the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center – giving them the chance to see the type of environment they could possibly be working in.”

Children are welcome to attend the carnival with job seekers. There will be light refreshments, face painting, coloring sheets and giant building blocks to keep little ones entertained so that parents and other adult caregivers can focus on the interviewing process.
