Stop in at our job fair on Thursday, October 17, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at our main office at 2025 Bedford Street in Johnstown. The job fair is designed to help job seekers locate good jobs, change careers, or explore employment options in the field of education across Cambria and Somerset counties.

“We encourage job seekers with the desire to make a difference in the lives of children to come and meet with their potential supervisors, learn about the positions available, and be interviewed on the spot,” said Kayla Cobaugh, director of human resources at The Learning Lamp. “We will be filling positions in many programs throughout Cambria and Somerset counties. It’s a great way for new teachers and support staff to get their foot in the door at a growing company.”

The Learning Lamp is a leading provider of early education, child care and before and after school programs. Ignite Education Solutions is a division of The Learning Lamp that is dedicated to serving schools. Both offer meaningful work for people with a variety of education levels and skill sets. Multiple full- and part-time positions are available. 

Many openings are school year positions, with no evening or weekend hours and holidays off. Applicants interested in any of the following positions are encouraged to walk in and interview on-the-spot: mobile early learning staff member to work at multiple locations, child care and before and after school staff, substitute teachers, elementary teachers, vocational substitute teachers, specialized classroom teachers, licensed social worker, substitute registered nurses, substitute teacher aides and personal care aides, school bus aides, cafeteria workers, math teachers, instructional aides and custodians.
