New Division Serves as Comprehensive Resource for Schools

Johnstown, PA (Nov. 16, 2015) The Learning Lamp announces Ignite Education Solutions, a new division of the more than decade-old nonprofit organization that served 19,748 children from 88 school districts and 46 non-public and private schools and other organizations in 18 Pennsylvania counties and two counties in Maryland in 2014.

Ignite is backed by the experience and problem solving skills of The Learning Lamp’s executive team. It offers affordable and comprehensive services for school districts including temporary staffing, specialized classrooms, online learning, professional development, communications and grant writing support.

Ignite Education Solutions provides:

  • Temporary Staffing Services – More than 25 Pennsylvania school districts rely on Ignite Education Solutions to find the right person to fill contract, temporary or paraprofessional positions in several areas including, but not limited to, Title I teachers, special education teachers, online learning teachers, English as a second language teachers, homebound instructors, school psychologists, occupational therapists and administrative positions.
  • Substitute Teacher Program – Ignite Education Solutions provides 12 Pennsylvania districts with high-quality subs throughout the school year. We use a 24/7 automated system that places subs, generates a larger pool of substitutes and enables districts to select proven, high-quality subs for preferred scheduling. Training is included to increase the skill sets of the substitute teachers provided by Ignite.
  • Specialized Classrooms – At-risk students get the attention and support they need to resolve issues and return to the regular education setting. Ignite provides alternative education classrooms, behavior support for elementary students, in-school suspension classrooms, transition classrooms and emotional support classrooms.
  • Online Learning – Affordable online education options that can be tailed to meet the specific needs of any school district. Laurel Highlands Cyber Academy allows students to complete coursework in the privacy and comfort of their homes while still participating in district-sponsored activities. Ignite offers open enrollment credit recovery options during the school year, online summer credit recovery and a full range of K-12 core and elective course including Advanced Placement options.
  • Professional Development – Ignite offers professional development workshops that ensure school employees get the information they need on a variety of safety, education and support topics. Training options include First Aid, FERPA, Suicide Prevention, Mandated Reporter Training, team building, gifted instruction, and much more.
  • Other Services – Ignite offers a broad range of services that can be carried out quickly and effectively including mobile fingerprinting services, homebound instruction, SAT prep, grant writing and communications support and The Learning Lamp To Go.
