On-the-Spot Interviews at The Learning Lamp and Ignite Education Solutions

Johnstown, PA (February 15, 2018) –Are you looking for a fresh start, better employment, or a new career? You’ll find a variety of opportunities at The Learning Lamp and Ignite Education Solutions. We’re looking forcompassionateand eager individuals to fill positions in the educational setting in Cambria, Somerset and Bedford counties. These are weekday positions with evenings and weekends off. Open interviews will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2025 Bedford Street in Johnstown.

“Open interviews give job seekers the opportunity to stop in and hear about job openings without having to search and apply online,” explained Tara Klein, staffing specialist at The Learning Lamp and Ignite Education Solutions. “Job seekers will be able to interview for multiple positions at the same time during the open interviews. This benefits job seekers, because they have a greater chance of finding a position that is a good fit.”

Candidates with varying educational credentials may apply. Some positions require only a high school diploma or GED, while others require a 4-year degree or teaching certificate.

The Learning Lamp is a leading provider of early education, child care and before and after school programs in the region. Ignite Education Solutions is a division of The Learning Lamp that is dedicated to serving schools. Both offer meaningful work for people with a variety of skill sets. Multiple full- and part-time positions are available.

Applicants interested in any of the following positions are encouraged to stop in for an interview: Child Care and Before/After School Program Staff, Substitute Teachers, Vocational Substitute Teachers, Long-Term Math Substitute, Special Education Teachers, Speech Therapist, Substitute Registered Nurses, Substitute Teacher Aides and Personal Care Aides, Tutors, and Custodians.

We deliver high quality programs that are affordable and accessible to families of all income levels. The Learning Lamp served 35,525 children from 62 school districts and 39 non-public and private schools and other organizations in 17 Pennsylvania counties and one county in Maryland in 2016.

Our programs include: one-to-one tutoring; before/after school programs; portable classrooms aimed at building math and science skills; alternative education programs for at-risk students; evidence-based prevention programs; online learning and credit recovery; SAT preparation; educationally-focused child care; literacy-based preschool programs; and grant writing and project consulting for schools.
