The Learning Lamp and Ignite Education Solutions are now hiring for positions in early learning and school-age child care programs, as well as positions in local schools. All positions offer holidays and weekends off,” she added.

Dependable, quality substitute teachers are in high demand – and short supply. “If you have a bachelor’s degree and enjoy working with children, you can become emergency certified to be a substitute teacher. It’s a great job with a flexible schedule. You can work as much or as little as you’d like in schools in our area,” said Jona Duppstadt, director of educational programs at Ignite Education Solutions. “Retired teachers can return to the classroom part-time without risking their retirement benefits.”
