The in-person event will follow all recommended health and safety precautions with regard to masks and social distancing.

“Job seekers are encouraged to stop by to learn about available positions and be interviewed on the spot” said Kayla Balamuta, human resources recruiter at The Learning Lamp. “Applicants have options of working a set schedule or work on a casual, part-time basis. All positions offer holidays and weekends off,” she added.

Most jobs available are school-year positions that offer the opportunity for candidates to build a relationship with the school district and gain valuable hands-on learning experience to build their career in education. Applicants interested in any of the following jobs are encourage to join us at the hiring event: substitute teachers for many area schools, early learning staff, personal care aides, substitute school nurses, preschool aides, and substitute aides.

Dependable, quality substitute teachers are in high demand – and short supply. “If you have a bachelor’s degree and enjoy working with children, you can become emergency certified to be a substitute teacher. It’s a great job with a flexible schedule. You can work as much or as little as you’d like in schools in our area,” said Jona Duppstadt, director of educational programs at Ignite Education Solutions. “Retired teachers can return to the classroom part-time without risking their retirement benefits.”
